Fixed term for 3 years with possible extension based on performance and funding.
Energy is recognised as a key growth opportunity for Suffolk, Norfolk and the wider region, with Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, an internationally recognised centre, for offshore renewable energy and with significant oil, gas and nuclear assets along our coastline.
We are looking for a professional with extensive experience of the energy sector to;
- act as a regional champion for the offshore renewables and wider energy sector
- drive OrbisEnergy as a technology and innovation cluster for the region’s energy sector and the all energy business hub for the East of England
- lead the work of the East of England Energy Zone (EEEZ) partnership to ensure we maximise the impact of the growing regional energy cluster.
Reporting to the Head of Economic Development, you will be part of the Suffolk County Council Economic Development team and you will lead a small multi-partner team tasked with growing the energy cluster.
