Offshore Wind Week – 2019 East Anglian Event

Venue: OrbisEnergy, Lowestoft
Date: 21/11/2019 - 22/11/2019

Celebrating Offshore Wind in the East

Now in its fifth successful year, EEEGR is delighted once more to welcome developers, operators, supply chain companies and skills and training providers to our East Anglia Event which forms part of renewable UK’s national programme of celebrations of all that is good about offshore wind.

With over 50% of installed capacity of offshore wind off the coast of Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex the East of England is at the very epicenter of offshore wind nationally and internationally. And with this percentage figure planned to continue through to 2030 it’s no wonder all eyes turn to our region to celebrate these achievements.

Event Outline

This year we are expanding our event to encompass both Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd November. Thursday 21st November will commence with site visits including; ABP Lowestoft Port, ScottishPower O&M Base,  SSE O&M Base, the new Energy Skills Center and more. The afternoon will hold poster presentationsworkshops and a Meet the Buyer event at OrbisEnergy, Lowestoft showcasing the likes of the Ogden Trust internship programme, EEEGR’s Offshore Wind Special Interest Group and more. The day will be rounded up with a drinks reception and conference dinner at the Ivy House, Lowestoft.

Friday 22nd November will follow our usual conference format with updates from developers, innovations from supply chain companies, developments from local authorities keen to attract inward investment and passionate presentations from students and young people looking to forge a career in the industry.

Please use this event programme to assist when making your ticket selection.

Why attend?

OrbisEnergy is a leading innovation and incubation centre for offshore renewables, based at the heart of the offshore wind industry at Britain’s most easterly point in Lowestoft.

OrbisEnergy is located in Lowestoft with limited direct public transport access. Some parking is available on site, with a further 400 spaces available just north of the Gulliver Turbine at Ness Point. Access to both parking sites will be through the main gates at OrbisEnergy and parking marshals will be on duty to direct you as required.
