Business Development and Special Projects Manager
Philippa graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in Marine Geography and year of industry experience under her belt, ready and keen to work in the marine sector. She initially worked for Gardline Environmental as an Offshore Field Scientist. Whilst this was heavily ecology and conservation focussed, it enabled her to gain valuable experience in survey operations and what it’s really like to work offshore. She then came back on-shore with Gardline and moved across to the main project management department. In 2015 she joined Global Marine Systems in Chelmsford as a Proposal Engineer, primarily working with a number of internal departments to produce tender documentation in relation to both telecoms and offshore wind projects.
Philippa joined EEEGR in April 2017 as Business Development and Special Projects manager. This role will includes looking after the Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that EEEGR currently co-ordinates. At present we have SIGs for Marine, Offshore Wind, Late Life & Decommissioning and SNS Rejuvenation and it will be her responsibility to ensure that the groups are meeting regularly, completing agreed actions and providing tangible benefits to the industry in terms of output. In addition to this she will also be managing some of EEEGR’s key accounts and providing a point of contact for those members to communicate with EEEGR in terms of what we are doing and how we can facilitate their business development further.
