Skills for Energy
Skills for Energy is one of EEEGR's core programmes. It focuses on delivering skilled people to the industry when they need them for long term careers and ensuring the existing workforce continues to meet the industry’s needs into the future. It is centred on addressing core skills needs across all energy sectors, both technical and commercial, achieved through collaborative partnerships.
The programme is led and delivered by our Executive Director Celia Anderson and is supported by the Skills For Energy Board made up of senior players from across the industry.
Skills For Energy’s key projects include:
- EPISCentre: The Energy Production Innovation Skills Centre
- Military in the Industry: Supporting military and ex-military in the industry
- Beyond 2010 - Energy: Training grants for critical business needs
- Higher Energy: A modular approach for CPD and work based learning from foundation degree through to doctorate
- Energy Skills Foundation Programme: An NVQ level 2 "pre-apprenticeship"
- UEA BEng & MEng Energy Engineering: Supporting the development of the University of East Anglia’s undergraduate & postgraduate energy engineering programme
