The Rushlight Awards
Wednesday 1st February 2012
The Rushlight Awards 2011 are now open for entries with an in-kind prize fund that is even bigger than last year. The closing date for entries is 31 October 2011 and the Gala Awards Dinner will follow on 1 February 2011 once again at the prestigious Church House Conference Centre next door to Westminster Abbey in London.
The Rushlight Awards are a celebration and promotion of the leading organizations throughout UK and Ireland which have furthered environmental technology and innovation in the fields of:
- renewable energy
- clean fuels
- power generation
- energy efficiency
- "green" products and services
- sustainable manufacturing and services
- water
- waste
- resource minimisation
- environmental management
- environmental monitoring and analysis.
Following the enormous success of the in-kind prizes that were introduced last year, when a fund with a market value of over £500,000 was available to the winners, we are continuing this prize system again this year and welcome a number of new participants in the scheme.
If you have developed a technology or introduced any form of innovation associated with cleantech, then there will be at least one of the 22 direct entry categories which will be suitable for you to promote your achievements.
As the awards are accredited by the RSA, the winners of the group categories announced on the night will be eligible to go forward to represent the UK or Ireland in the European Business Awards for the Environment.
We are delighted once again to receive and recognise the support from members of DECC, Carbon Trust, Technology Strategy Board, Energy Savings Trust, CIWM, EPSRC, NESTA, Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership, Environment Agency, WRAP, UKERC, Department for Transport, BIS and DEFRA.
These awards stand out as the only UK and Ireland wide awards for technology, innovation and commerce that have advanced society’s capabilities to live in a sustainable way. The awards are wholly independent, both in the form of the judging and also in the context of not being connected with any particular journal or publication.
Sponsors and advertisers have the opportunity to present their brand and business to the leading organizations in the environmental sector, the key players in the environmental debate and consumers in general.
This is a singular opportunity for entrants and sponsors alike to become part of a celebration of achievement and to demonstrate their true sustainable credentials.
