Skills for Energy Conference
Thomas Paine Building, UEA, Norwich

Engineering will inevitably be under the spotlight at the conference. Without engineers, it matters little how much money a company can throw at a project and, without them, there is no role for the back-up support teams of technicians and other trades.
Our conference will consider not just the challenge of creating skills at all levels but will encourage skilled people into the energy sector against the competitive appeal of other major industries. We will look too at the mental toughness and approach needed by the workforce in a demanding industry, the challenge of moving between engineering disciplines and sectors, and a look at the skills implications for the industry of the future.
