Following agreement between the Belgian Government and the developers Parkwind, InControl and Otary about the subsidy framework for the Mermaid, Seastar and NorthWester2 projects, DIT in the East of England and in Brussels have arranged two events to brief UK companies on the supply chain opportunities.
You can find out more at OrbisEnergy on 12 December about the opportunity to meet the developers, contractors and manufacturers who are seeking prospective partners for collaboration, in Brussels on 24-25 January. These projects that will have a total capacity of 770MW when operational by 2020.
Significantly, in addition to one-to-one meetings (along similar lines to DIT’s successful events in Paris) and networking opportunities throughout the two days in Brussels, there will be two sessions of presentation slots for UK businesses who are new to the Belgian market or who can introduce innovative solutions.
DEME/GeoSea, Elia, InControl, Jan de Nul, Parkwind, Otary, Smulders and others will attend the event in January to meet prospective business partners including those who might be new to the Belgian market. The programme for these two days, from the afternoon of 24 January through 25 January, is attached (details subject to confirmation).
There’s no participation fee, and SMEs engaged on Get Exporting 2 can apply some of their matched funding towards the cost of travel and accommodation associated with this event.
We encourage you, therefore, to register at www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/doing-business-in-belgium-tickets-39910437192 for DIT’s Info-Breakfast at OrbisEnergy on 12 December to find out more directly from Gert Wauters in Brussels, and/or to register your interest in attending in Brussels by submitting the attached application form by 22 December.
