EEEGR delivers a comprehensive programme of events and networking opportunities for both members and non-members.
EEEGR events are business focused, with high-quality informative industry speakers, and opportunities to network with peers and build new business relationships.
Alongside our flagship Southern North Sea (SNS) Conference, we host a suite of sector specific events throughout the year, including our Special Interest Groups (SIGs), Meet the Buyer events, the EEEGR Awards, regular Breakfast Clubs, and a number of popular networking events. We also attend, and lead visits to, a number of energy trade fairs and exhibitions.
Southern North Sea Conference
Our annual flagship conference SNS (Southern North Sea) is the most important conference for the offshore energy industry in the East of England. The event boasts a comprehensive conference programme, covering a number of topics pertaining to the future and management of the Southern North Sea, a full exhibition, breakout sessions running across the two days, and multiple networking opportunities including a gala-dinner at the end of the first day.
The SNS conference is a must-attend event for all those involved in the Offshore Energy Sector in the East of England, presenting business opportunities, top quality speakers and excellent networking opportunities.
Special Interest Groups
Our range of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) allow for the discussion and debate of pertinent industry topics, with meetings offering presentations from industry experts, time for debate on current issues, and networking. Each SIG has a steering group, which meets regularly to determine the direction of the group and pertinent topics for discussion.
Meet the Buyer Events
EEEGR’s Meet the Buyer events are an opportunity for delegates to meet with companies they wish to be supplying to, to learn of their upcoming projects and how to go about tendering to work with them. Our Meet the Buyer opportunities often also include the option to book in advance 1-on-1 ‘Speed Dating’ style meetings with buyers, in order to guarantee a meeting with the buyer that is of interest to you.
Recent Meet the Buyer opportunities have included:
GDF Suez E&P, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Seaway Heavy Lifting, Siemens, RWE, ConocoPhillips Shell & Chevron.
New for 2015, the EEEGR Awards are set to celebrate the best of the Energy Industry in the East of England. The day will consist of presentations from shortlisted companies of their products and services, with a gala-dinner, at which the winners are announced, to follow.
EEEGR Breakfast Club
The EEEGR Breakfast Club is an event series aimed at bringing together the industry on a regular basis over a hearty breakfast. Emphasis is placed on networking with peers and other industry professionals, and on strengthening the regional offer collaboratively. Each breakfast has a sponsor host, who presents on a new project, product or opportunity from their company.
Skills for Energy and Lowestoft College have developed a range of pioneering one day training courses which offer an introduction to the sectors within the energy industry. The four ‘Introduction To” courses - for energy, oil & gas, offshore wind and nuclear. These courses are an excellent foundation for non-technical personnel already in the sector, as well as potential or new entrants. It will suit those working in the support roles in the industry e.g. HR, admin, finance etc., new entrants as well as those companies either looking to move into the industry or supporting the industry as only a small part of their business.
