Callum Leech, Technician Apprentice in Instrumentation and Control at Aker Solutions

Callum was one of the first graduates from the Energy Skills Foundation Programme in 2009. This has been the foundation for Callum into making a successful leap into the energy industry.

Callum Leech is a newly qualified Technician Apprentice in Instrumentation and Control. Callum was one of the first students to do the Energy Skills Foundation programme in 2009 and at the end of the course he received the Student of the Year award.

He then successfully applied to do an ECITB, Advanced Modern Technician Apprenticeship and during this two-year course he was offered a job with Aker Solutions, working on their Operations Support contract with Perenco. After leaving college, Callum has spent time working at Bacton Gas terminal and on offshore platforms while working towards his NVQ level 3. He qualified in January 2014.

Callum is now 21 and lives locally in Norfolk.
