Continuous Improvement Manager
British Energy

Mark is currently working for EDF Energy at Sizewell B Power Station. Mark's current role is Continuous Improvement Manager where he has responsibility for Organisational Learning, Business Planning and Human Performance.

Mark initially joined the nuclear industry in 2000 as a chemistry technician at Sizewell B (a university industrial placement programme). After graduating from the University of East Anglia with a 1st Class Masters Degree in Chemical Physics Mark rejoined British Energy (now EDF Energy). Firstly from 2003-2006 he undertook both technical engineering and assets planning and investment roles with the company's engineering functions in Gloucester. In mid 2006 he moved to Hartlepool Power Station where firstly he spent a period as the site's head of chemistry and then subsequently as an engineering project manger as part of a regional programme for Hartlepool and Heysham 1. Finally Mark moved to his current role at Sizewell B in mid 2009. This represents a return home for a person who grow-up in Lowestoft

Outside work Mark enjoys keeping fit, spending time with his wife and children and the occasion round of golf.
