Graham Hacon - Managing Director, 3Sun LtdGraham began his career as an Instrument Technician in the army where he served for seven years before leaving to seek employment within the local offshore oil & gas industry. Whilst working with local wellhead control companies Graham noted a gap in the market for a dedicated service company and during 1999 established Specialised Management Services to breach this gap. Graham sold SMS in 2004 and is now the Managing Director of new company 3Sun Ltd. The 3sun business provides control and instrumentation services particularly to the oil, gas and marine industry and is built around a network of close relationships within the industry supported by accredited QHSE systems.
Paul Dixon - Operations Director, ODEPaul is the Operations Director for ODE and Divisional Manager for their Great Yarmouth Marine Base facility. Having opened the regional office in 1994, initially to support a single project, Paul has been instrumental in successfully establishing ODE as a key engineering and project management company in the region. ODE now works with all SNS operators, undertakes overseas work from Great Yarmouth and has become a leading renewables sector contractor. Before moving to Great Yarmouth Paul was a senior Project Manager based in London. He joined ODE in 1989 and has a strong background in mechanical engineering.
Anna Soroko - Senior Counsel, Bond PearceAnna is a senior counsel for law firm Bond Pearce and has worked internationally in the energy industry for over 20 years. Anna is both Texas and English qualified and has worked for Amoco, BP and TXU before returning to private practice. She is familiar with many aspects of the sector having worked on numerous North Sea projects and being the project lawyer for the Great Yarmouth Power Station during its development and construction phase. Anna is currently working on an innovative project to bring LNG into the UK utilising re-gasification vessels, as well as becoming increasingly involved in Carbon Capture Transportation and Storage, an area where she sees EEEGR becoming a major national voice for the benefit of the EEEGR members. Anna lives in Ipswich and believes that, with the help of EEEGR, East Anglia is again taking its place at the forefront of the UK's energy industry.
Dave Openshaw - Head of Asset Management, EDF Energy NetworksDave serves in the electricity supply industry in Great Britain which he joined in 1966 as a student apprentice with East Midlands Electricity in Coventry. In 1973 he joined Eastern Electricity where he remained until April 2000 when he transferred to the joint venture Network Management Company - 24seven Utility Services Ltd.
Dave now holds the position of Head of Asset Management, EDF Energy. He is responsible for the long-term development and planning of the licensed electricity distribution networks serving the East of England, London and the South-East, and for development of infrastructure asset management and network investment policy - including planning for renewables and distributed generation.
David Dukes - Economic Development, Norfolk County CouncilDavid Dukes has been Economic Development Manager for Norfolk County Council for 4 years, having previously worked in the same role at South Norfolk Council. He has particular responsibility for inward investment, business and sector development and strategic management. David has recently been a prime mover in the establishment of the Hethel Engineering Centre, Hethel, as well as the Creative Media Hub at Magdalen Street, Norwich. As well as supporting Norwich City football team since the tender age of 6, he is an amateur musician and mountain bike enthusiast.
