David Hodkinson has led Vattenfall's wind power development and construction business in the UK since Vattenfall entered this market at the end of 2008. Since then, Vattenfall has completed the construction of the 300MW Thanet offshore wind farm in the English Channel and the 41MW Edinbane onshore wind farm on Skye, and is currently half way through the construction programme for the 150MW Ormonde wind farm off the Cumbrian coast.  In partnership with Scottish Power Renewables, Vattenfall has also secured the licence to develop the 7.2GW 'East Anglia' Round 3 Development opportunity off the coast of East Anglia.  David represents Vattenfall on the Offshore Wind Developers Forum, Electricity Networks Strategy Group and the Energy Generation and Supply KTN.

Prior to joining Vattenfall, David led the AMEC wind team that worked with Centrica to win the Round 2 offshore licenses for Docking Shoal and Race Bank in the Greater Wash, and secured planning consent for the Round 1 Lynn offshore project.   He has previous experience in the railway and nuclear industries and significant M&A experience.  David has a MBA from the University of Manchester and a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Leeds.
