Dave serves in the electricity supply industry in Great Britain which he joined in 1966 as a student apprentice with East Midlands Electricity in Coventry.  In 1973 he joined Eastern Electricity where he remained until April 2000 when he transferred to the joint venture Network Management Company - 24seven Utility Services Ltd.

Dave now holds the position of Head of Future Networks UK Power Networks.

He is responsible for the long-term strategic development of the licensed electricity distribution networks serving the East of England, London and the South-East.

This includes development of smart grid technologies and commercial frameworks to ensure that the electricity networks can support the UK Low Carbon Transition Plan; in particular preparing for significant long term growth in electric vehicles, heat pumps, micro-generation and distributed generation.
