Board Election
EEEGR is proud to be governed by an industry led Board of Directors, representing the whole energy spectrum. The Board meet quarterly to inform EEEGR programmes, projects and activities and also utilise their significant experience and influence to lobby and make things happen for the industry and the region.
Each year EEEGR hosts a board election process.
Nominations
key points to note for director nominations are as follows:
- There are nine Elected Directors, each year, three directors resign in rotation
- Members are requested to put forward nominations, which can include the directors retiring by rotation
- Only Regional Members (i.e. commercial businesses having an operating address in Bedfordshire, Cambridge, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk or Suffolk) are entitled to present themselves for election
- All members (i.e. Regional members, Non-regional members and Supporters) may support and endorse an application for an individual in the nomination process
- Only Regional Members are eligible to vote
- Last year Blair Ainslie, Ian Sadler and Cheree Fletcher were appointed as Directors
- Also serving are Mark Goodall, Richard Jenkins and Gary Williams
- This year Paul Chilvers, Graham Hacon and Anna Soroko will be retiring by rotation
- We will be seeking to appoint three directors from those nominated
Voting
All regional, comercial members have the right to vote in this election process. Your ballot paper and nominee biographies will be mailed to you on the 2nd September 2011.
Voting closes at 17:00 on Friday 14th October 2011.
Timetable for 2011:
2 Sept: Notice of application process through this letter | Applicants to be nominated
30 Sept: Close of nominations. All forms to be received by 17:00
03 Oct: Validated nominees published on web site | Voting papers posted to Regional members
14 Oct: Close of voting process. All voting papers to be received by 17:00
17 Oct: Nominees privately advised of the results
20 Oct: EEEGR AGM: results declared | Details published in public domain on 21 October
22 Nov: EEEGR Board meeting with new directors in post
